Kaliningrad is a unique city that has belonged to different states throughout history. Today, architectural pieces from different historical periods coexist there, sometimes complementing each other, sometimes interfering, sometimes independently creating a common appearance of the city.
Using the example of one central street in Kaliningrad, I will show how did the city change after the seizure of German territory by the Soviet Union, how it affected the development of this area and how these places look today.

The book is structurally divided into three parts: the first shows places that existed in German times and were destroyed after the Soviet Union came to power. In the second — locations that appeared in the German past, but still exist, although often in a rather heavily modified form. And the third part contains the places that appeared on the street after the Germans left the city.
